When you are spiked/poisoned you will suffer some loss of memory, so you may not be sure if you have been assaulted. If you suspect you have been physically or sexually assaulted it’s important to tell someone. Try to confide in someone you trust like a friend or family member.
yourself tested
Consider getting yourself tested, if you can within 8 hours of being spiked
If you believe you have been poisoned then there are various methods of drug testing available to help you. Post incident testing can be used as ‘peace of mind’ to confirm whether you have been spiked and to collect legally defensible evidence depending on the types of testing used. However it is currently not easy to access these tests without going to a police station or your GP. At we are campaigning to make these tests more widely available.
Urine Test
Testing must occur within 5-12 hours of the incident.
Blood Test
All the testing available of 5-12 hours depending on the drug.
Saliva Test
It has a short detection window of 12-24 hours.
Hair Test
Drugs can be tested from 7-90+ days after consumption in hair.
Sweat Test
Testing is rather uncommon due to the limited number of drugs.
